November and December are incredible months in Minnesota, and I love them so much. I always look forward to certain birds we only see during the colder months. This year, unlike last, we were treated to many Pine Grosbeaks and Bohemian Waxwings that ventured south of the Canadian border in search of food. We also observed several Snow Buntings and Horned Larks passing through. Our local, year round birds are always entertaining, and this year provided me with a bonus "new" bird; my first Boreal Chickadee. November and December are glorious, indeed!
